“Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose.”

The truly terrific Friday Night Lights is back on NBC tonight for a fourth season after its initial run on DirecTV.  Great set-up:  Coach Taylor is now at East Dillon with rundown facilities and few good players; some of the familiar Panthers from past seasons have graduated, but others — Matt Saracen and Tim Riggins, especially — remain in town after graduation.  Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton are outstanding, as usual, and for a bonus, one of the new East Dillon players is Wallace from The Wire.  You know just we’ll be building to a huge intra-Dillon rivalry game between East and West sometime later in the year.

For those not familiar, FNL is as good as network TV gets.  Check it out.
