The West Wing Meets Sports Night?

I admit I’m a huge fan of both these shows and Sorkin generally, but you gotta be psyched about this news:  HBO has greenlit a pilot for a new series from Oscar-nominated screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network):
Although specifics about the project aren’t known, it’s expected that the show will be set behind-the-scenes of a cable news program. In preparation, Sorkin has been spending time with a variety of MSNBC, Fox News and CNN personalities, including Keith Olbermann, who was rumored (incorrectly) to have some involvement with the show.
The guys from Sports Night are currently starring in Parenthood and The Good Wife, but perhaps Martin Sheen and Bradley Whitford are available.  BTW, the Sports Night characters were loosely based on ESPN’s best-ever — and snarkiest — anchor-pairing from back in the day, Olbermann and Craig Kilborn.
